celebrate achieving
Health & Safety qualification
Mrs. Toman, Co-ordinator of Learning for Life and Work at St. Colmcille’s High School, was delighted to present the students of Years 10 and 11 with their certificates at a recent ceremony in the school. This was the first year the new qualification has been introduced and with outstanding results.
Students gained the Level 1 Award in Health & Safety at Work from the British Safety Council after studying topics such as risk management, hazardous substances, safety signs and signals, personal protective equipment and fire safety. The qualification gives young people a head start in a health and safety conscious age.
